An ironic and whimsical visual journey through Bengaluru, '4th Cross, 11th Main' confounds our sense of the real, with the surreal forms of our navigational culture. Told through the eyes of a curious outsider, this story is an account of the directional street signs typical of Bengaluru and how they become a part of a hidden cultural experience. The book is a mix of illustration, typography and photography. We come across neither a fixed meaning, nor an interpretation of visual signs, but rather a whispering of continuous possibilities that surround them. This project is an outcome of the final year Diploma Project 2015 for Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru.
Exhibiting the project at The Srishti Collective 2015 on 22nd - 23rd July, 2015 | Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru.
